Environmental Policy

At Glynn Construction, we have always maintained a commitment to environmental stewardship. Environmentally friendly building principles and concepts result in not only a lesser impact on our surroundings, but also make for healthier living and working spaces. We are dedicated to the following environmental principles:

  • Maintaining a clean, healthy work environment through use of materials with low or zero emissions,
  • Incorporating practices to prevent pollution and minimize waste such as proper separation and recycling of construction debris,
  • Complying with all applicable federal, state, and local environmental laws and regulations.

In addition, Glynn Construction has completed several large-scale public projects with Silver and Gold LEED goals. LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design), an internationally recognized green building certification system developed by the U.S. Green Building Council, provides building owners and operators with a framework for identifying and implementing practical and measurable green building design, construction, operations and maintenance solutions.

For clients interested in selecting sustainable construction materials, we will work closely with you to recommend products such as:

  • Certified framing lumber
  • Natural or recycled fiber insulation
  • Recycled content weather-resistive barriers
  • Sustainable and recycled content decking and exterior finishes
  • Products with zero or low emissions to improve indoor air quality

We also attempt to re-use and restore original materials where possible, with the goal of preserving the historic beauty of your home or work space. In

addition, our incorporation of salvaged materials where appropriate helps divert excess waste from landfill.
